United Concordia is pleased to serve the dental insurance needs of Duquesne University students. Duquesne University and United Concordia are partnering because we care about your oral health. Oral health problems often tax the immune system, which can expose you to greater risk of illness and infection. To help maintain a healthier smile and a healthier you, we encourage you to follow the advice of your dentist and the American Dental Association. Your dental plan emphasizes preventive care to help avoid costly procedures commonly caused by delayed treatment.

About My Plan - Your dental plan is the Concordia Flex plan. Concordia Flex is a plan that provides you with access to more than 102,900 total dentist locations nationwide through our Concordia Advantage network. If your dentist does not participate, you may still use your dentist, but your out-of-pocket expenses are likely to be higher. Choosing one of our participating providers helps lower out-of-pocket costs and eliminates the need to fill out claim forms.

Exciting features of your plan include:

  • Preventive IncentiveSM - With Preventive Incentive, all covered Class I Diagnostic and Preventive services do not count toward your annual plan maximum. This leaves you with more benefit dollars to use for other covered dental procedures. more>>

  • Smile for Health® Maternity Dental Benefit - The Smile for Health Maternity Dental Benefit provides women with an additional dental cleaning during pregnancy. This extra cleaning can help prevent periodontal (gum) disease, which has been linked to premature and low-birthweight babies, as well as help control pregnancy gingivitis. more>>

  • Smile for Health® Enhanced Dental Benefit - The Smile for Health Enhanced Dental Benefit further extends your current coverage by providing additional diagnostic, preventive and periodontal services and by increasing the amount your plan will pay toward these services. The services offered help treat periodontal disease, which has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, stroke and respiratory disease. more>>
