United Concordia is pleased to serve the dental needs of Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan (USFHP) members. Oral health problems can have a detrimental impact on the immune system, which can expose you to greater risk of illness and infection. To help maintain a healthier smile and a healthier you, we encourage you to follow the advice of your dentist and the American Dental Association. Receiving proper preventive care can help you to avoid costly procedures commonly caused by delayed treatment.

With this in mind, the Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan is providing covered members with two cleanings per year at no cost, when these services are provided by a United Concordia Dental Value Network (DVN) participating dentist. Many other services can still be received at a discounted fee when performed by these dentists (click on Benefit Summary/Discount Fee Schedule at left). Participating dentists can be found primarily in Maryland, with some located in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Southern Pennsylvania. Using these benefits is as easy as 1-2-3. Simply visit a participating DVN dentist, show them your Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan ID card and get to work on improving your oral health. No claim forms to fill out. No hassles.

Remember - You will not receive a separate dental ID card and must use your Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan ID card when receiving covered dental care.
