Good dental health benefits more than just a great smile. The State of North Carolina and United Concordia are partnering to provide dental programs that help you keep your mouth healthy. To maintain a healthier smile and a healthier you, we encourage you to follow the advice of your dentist and the American Dental Association. Your dental plan emphasizes preventive care to help avoid problems commonly caused by delayed treatment. Consider the NCFlex Pre-Tax dental plans to help you care for your smile and your body.

PRE-TAX DENTAL PLANS - HIGH AND LOW OPTIONS
NCFlex offers both a High Option and a Low Option dental plan. The monthly premiums for both plans are deducted on a pre-tax basis, which means either option offers you tax savings not available on after-tax plans. Both options make it easy for everyone to meet their coverage and budget needs, whether transferring from an after-tax plan or choosing dental for the first time.

Both the High and Low Options are traditional plans that allow you to visit any dentist. Each plan pays a percentage of the plan allowance for covered services. Refer to the Benefit Summary located in your NCFlex Enrollment Guide or www.ncflex.org You can link to this summary from the link on the left.

United Concordia provides customer service options online or by phone. Your ID card will include United Concordia's toll-free customer service number, which allows you to access the automated interactive response (IVR) system 24/7, or talk to a representative Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

You can also register online to use My Dental Benefits after you receive your ID card. My Dental Benefits offers secure access to dental benefits information, including eligibility, claim status, payment detail, dental health information and more. To register you will need your 12-digit ID number located on your ID card. For instructions on how to register, click on Accessing My Dental Benefits found on the left under Additional Information.
