United Concordia Teams Up with HACC's Dental Hygiene Clinic, Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and Davis Vision to Provide Free Dental and Vision Screenings

On March 28, United Concordia joined Harrisburg Area Dental Society dentists and Davis Vision eye care professionals in providing free dental and vision screenings to children who are uninsured, or have minimal insurance coverage.

Children from the Lebanon Head Start program and students from Harrisburg School District who needed follow-up services received a voucher for a complimentary eye examination and a free pair of eyeglasses from Total Vision Care in Camp Hill, Pa.

Sixty-six patients received dental exams and/or restorative care at a value of $7,760.

HACC dental hygiene student volunteers provided oral hygiene instruction, assisted dentists with restorative care and performed additional preventive services. HACC donated use of the facility.

United Concordia provided goody bags with toothbrushes, dental floss, oral hygiene education and information, as well as toys for the children.
