United Concordia Partners with McKinley Children's Center to Promote Children's Dental Health
More than 60 boys and girls at McKinley Children's Center received free dental screenings, valued at $5,850, as part of United Concordia's dental health clinic on February 19, 2009. Children from McKinley's residential program and non-public school were given complete oral screenings and instruction on oral health care from local network United Concordia dentists and hygienists. Dr. Maher Al Bouz, DDS, of San Dimas, and Barouir “Barry” Deirmenjian, DDS, of Lynwood, completed the screenings, providing each child, ages 6 — 17, with a follow-up report and recommended follow-up treatment plan if necessary. The clinic gave children the opportunity to have a positive experience with a dentist in a non-threatening environment.
